What Is Home Care for Individuals With IDD?
Home care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) provides non-medical, one-on-one support in the individual’s own home and community. It can be especially helpful for families who need additional assistance with everyday routines, supervision, personal care, community involvement, or simply need a trusted caregiver to step in when family members cannot be there.
At Jonz 1 Forever Cares, We take a person-centered approach, providing support that reflects each individual’s abilities, preferences, routines, and goals for greater independence. Depending on their needs, a caregiver may assist with bathing and grooming, dressing, meal preparation, household routines, companionship, safety and supervision, community outings, daily living skills, and encouraging greater independence.
Care can also provide much-needed respite for parents and family caregivers, giving families time to work, attend appointments, spend time with other family members, rest, or simply recharge knowing their loved one has dependable support.
Please Note: Jonz 1 Forever Cares provides non-medical home care services. Our home care services do not include skilled nursing, IV care, medication administration, or medical advice.
